History and Purpose
The Channel 7 Children's Research Foundation of South Australia Incorporated (CRF) was established in 1976 by television station Channel 7 Adelaide (then Channel 10) with funds raised by the then Christmas Appeal.
The Patron of the Foundation is His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, Governor of South Australia.
The purpose of the Foundation is to support health, educational or social research to encourage and advance investigation into the cause, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of any condition that may affect the general health, education or welfare of children in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Each year the Foundation disburses approximately $1,350,000.
