Since 1976, the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation has proudly supported quality research into the health, education and welfare of Australia’s children.
Over this time, the Foundation has provided nearly $40 million (today’s measured worth) in grants to over 900 research projects across community-based studies, clinical studies and basic science in the children’s research fields of allied health, fertility and pregnancy, dentistry, education, environment, nursing, medicine, mental health, midwifery, child protection and social sciences.
Expression of interest (EOI) is now open for applicants seeking funding for research commencing in 2021.
Applications in all areas of children’s health, education and welfare are welcomed.
A particular emphasis in the review process will be given to projects that support the Foundation’s research priority areas of:
- improving child protection and its effect
- improving children’s mental health and the impact of developmental disorders
- reducing childhood obesity and its impact
- understanding the social determinants of childhood health and development
Grants may now be awarded up to a maximum of $100,000 per project, or Early Career Grants up to a maximum of $40,000 per project.
Research must be led from South Australia and national collaboration is encouraged.
