The Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation has chosen four research priorities to help strengthen capability in these areas within South Australia, and to deepen the impact of its investment into advancing research to improve the health, education and welfare of children.

Commencing with the annual research grants for 2020, the priorities for the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation’s are:

  • Child protection
  • Children’s mental health
  • Childhood obesity
  • Understanding social determinants of childhood health and development

Expressions of interest will be called for in late February 2019, and subsequent grant applications that can demonstrate a clear link to these research priorities will be given extra weighting in the grant assessment process.

Applications for funding of Basic Science, Community Based Studies and Clinical Studies that relate more broadly to the health, education and welfare of children, will also continue to be welcomed as they have in the past.

If you have any questions in relation to the research priorities, please do not hesitate to contact the Foundation on 8243 8202 or email crf@crf.org.au.
