Expressions of Interest are now welcome for research funding by the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation in 2022.
Applications can be made for research into any area of children’s health, education and welfare within community-based studies, clinical studies and basic science.
Submissions for EOI can be made from 24 February 2021 (9.00am ACDT) to 1 April 2021 (6:00pm ACDT).
RESEARCH GRANTS from the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation are awarded following an application, evaluation and review process.
Each application is reviewed by our Research Committee, with additional input from independent referees, and assessed on scientific merit and relevance to the health, education or welfare of children. Extra weighting in the grant assessment process will be given to applications deemed by the Research Committee to have a particular emphasis on the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation priorities of
- Improving child protection and its effect
- Improving children’s mental health and the impact of developmental disorders
- Reducing childhood obesity and its impact
- Understanding the social determinants of childhood health and development
The Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation dedicates around $1.5 million each year to supporting both quality and innovative research conduced within the Universities, Research Institutes, Health Services and Educational and Welfare organisations of South Australia.
